Celebrating 40 years of innovation by the world’s best and brightest young minds
The 2025 season promises to be an exciting one as we celebrate 40 years of perseverance, innovation and collaboration. Shell Eco-marathon looks forward to welcoming participants, guests, partners, and supporters to new locations, which promise to bring fresh perspectives and experiences as teams take on new challenges, while pushing the boundaries of innovation.
Shell Eco-marathon regional competitions are designed for teams to push new boundaries, encouraging innovation and novel approaches to achieving energy efficiency. These larger competitions invite between 80 and 150 teams to each competition, after securing their place through a strict selection process that receives the best teams from across Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, Europe and Africa, and Americas.
