Off-track Winners

Communications Award sponsored by VML

Shell Eco-marathon is also built on stories, and every team has a unique journey to tell. That is why the Communications Off-Track Award, sponsored by VML, Shell Brazil's communications agency partner, recognizes the team that best communicated its journey and the impact of its project, turning months of dedication into a narrative defined by clarity, creativity, and authenticity. The Communications Off-Track Award drew 17 submissions with strong overall quality, according to the judges. Every team that submitted contributed to raising the standard for how Shell Eco-marathon teams tell their story.

Winner: MOBEE - Instituto Federal Catarinense Luzerna – Brazil

Judges’ Remarks: The winning team is recognised for turning communication into an archive of their journey, not a promotional campaign. They built community involvement and their own history into powerful storytelling, backed by strong branding, clear strategy, and real, measurable impact across every channel.

Runner-up: EcoVolt CCM - Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey Campus Ciudad de México - Mexico

Safety Leadership Award

The safety award underscores safety's significance within Shell Eco-marathon, prompting all participating teams to actively integrate safe practices into their daily operations.

Winner: EcoVeículo Electric Unifei - Universidade Federal de Itajubá – Brazil

Judges’ Remarks: The winning team is recognised for outstanding safety behaviours throughout the event: well-organised work areas, and a team where every member could clearly explain their role in keeping things safe. They also brought forward excellent suggestions for improving safety, some of which we’re looking to carry forward.

Runner-up: ElA RACING - Universidad EIA - Colombia
