Meet Jaynil Sheth, manager for Team Averera, as he speaks about why sustainability matters to them and the project they launched for their local community.

These students from the Indian Institute of Technology, BHU, in India, participate in competitions like Shell Eco-marathon to find better and more sustainable ways of transport.

For the 2023 season, they created a battery-electric car when they noticed that the industry is starting to shift towards this type of vehicles. To them, this is an opportunity not only to keep up with industrial practices and skills, but also to collaborate with companies and partners in the sector.

Jaynil also talks about their initiative to empower local tuk-tuk drivers to make the switch to electric vehicles in an attempt to improve the air quality in their area.
