Charles Leclerc, Scuderia Ferrari Driver has been passionate about racing from a young age, starting out racing karts at just five years old.
By the time he was 16, Charles had achieved numerous driving accolades - GP3 and Formula 2 Champion aged 20. This success led him to his dream of racing Formula 1 cars for Scuderia Ferrari becoming the second youngest driver to qualify on pole position in the 2019 Bahrain GP.
In 2020, Charles made a special appearance in the Asia Off-Track Awards to congratulate the winning teams for their brilliant achievements and contribution to Shell Eco-marathon.
Norman Koch, General Manager of Shell Eco-marathon, and host of the Virtual Off-Track Awards Ceremony, caught up with Charles after the show to talk about his passion for racing, advice for Shell Eco-marathon students starting out in the automotive space and what keeps him motivated through challenging times.
