2021 Asia Pacific And Middle East Off-Track Awards

2021 APME Off-track Awards

The third and final instalment of the 2021 Off-Track Awards took place on Friday, April 16 with the announcement of the Asia Pacific and Middle East winners LIVE on YouTube.

Norman Koch, Global General Manager Shell Eco-marathon, welcomed back special guest Oliver Rowland, Nissan e.dams Formula E driver

and a host of familiar and some new faces to reveal this regions winning and runner-up teams.

The Asia Pacific and Middle East Off-Tracks received a record number of submissions at 198 entries from 64 teams in 11 countries, that’s nearly twice the number as in previous years; with the Safety Award, Technical Innovation Award and Communications Award proving to be the top three most popular categories amongst participating teams.

The unprecedented number of entries didn’t seem to impact on the quality, and our judges had a tough time deliberating over all team submissions. After building shortlists of the best teams, our panel used scorecards and decided by mutual agreement on the winners and runners-up who receive $1,500 and $750 in prize money respectively, plus Virtual League points
