Inspiring the next generation of energy leaders

4 min read
For over four decades, Shell Eco-marathon has stood as one of the world’s most inspiring platforms for young innovators. It’s more than a competition – it’s a global classroom without walls, where students transform theory into action and ideas into impact.
Every year, thousands of STEM students from across the globe gather to take on a singular challenge: how far can you go on the least amount of energy? The answer lies in their creativity, resilience, and engineering skill. From concept to track, teams design, build, and refine vehicles that push the limits of efficiency. Along the way, they learn lessons no textbook can teach – teamwork under pressure, problem-solving in real time, and the thrill of turning innovation into reality.
Watch the video below to learn more about Shell Eco-marathon and hear from the participants themselves.
