Meet the Garuda UNY ECO TEAM I from Indonesia
With a diverse team spanning different majors, Garuda UNY Eco Team make use of their collective strength to drive innovation as part of their commitment to excellence and perseverance in the pursuit of sustainable mobility solutions.
Formed in 2009, Garuda UNY Team consists of combined forces of Garuda UNY Racing Team and Garuda UNY Eco Team. Together they represent the University Student Activity of Research Technology of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Their name is based on the Indonesian national symbol of Garuda, an ancient, mythical bird symbolizing creative energy. They are motivated to participate in Shell Eco-marathon with a goal in mind: to make the most out of the opportunity to implement and develop knowledge gained from university and contribute to a better future in Indonesia.
Through research and practice, the team continually works towards perfection. The 10-member team takes pride and is look forward to representing their creativity and innovation while addressing a global challenge on the international stage at the World Championship 2023.
