The team from engineering school, ENSEM has been participating in Shell Eco-marathon since 1998, initially with a thermal engine prototype vehicle and for the last 10 years with an electric urban concept vehicle powered by a hydrogen fuel cell. For the participating students they see the competition as an opportunity to not only explore energy efficiency but also to apply their knowledge to challenges linked to societal issues.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EEvery year, the team has overcome new challenges as they look to improve their performance in the competition from ensuring the reliability of their vehicle, to tackling challenging logistics in the preparation for the World Championship in India. Throughout they have learned to be inventive, resourceful and remain united as a team, leading to successfully securing not only a new partnership for their team but cemented their qualification for the final event of the 2023 season.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EThe team are so proud of their qualification for the World Championship, noting that it as an astonishing moment which has marked their lives, and cemented their belief that showing determination and passion, gets results. They are looking forward to surprising people, their fans, sponsors and promoting their team and Engineering school at the University of Lorraine in the competition.
